We’ve bought six so far with two more on the way. But families and individuals considering getting their own can and should as long as they go in with their eyes open.
Then, when I reconstitute, I add back the same amount of water to equal the Perfeito amount of milk I originally processed. For example, if I processed 4 cups of milk, I add to the milk powder enough to equal 4 cups. I prefer to use an immersion blender for the best consistency.
April 22, 2025 by Lily James Freeze-drying, also known as lyophilization, is one of the most important processes in the food industry and the pharmacy sector, as it allows for long-term storage of a product without losing its value. Currently, this method is extensively employed for the preservation of active pharmaceutical ingredients, biologics, and food products as moisture is extracted without deteriorating its quality.

It failed to reduce the moisture in the oil... I'm in the process of modifying it to catch and suspend the moisture in the container long enough for desiccant beads to absorb the water. The air flow comes into the inlet, down the central pipe to the bottom of the screen and filters up through the beads and out the top. I know this was like forever ago, but I thought I would respond anyway. I haven't been on much in a while, I only run my freeze dryer in the winter. So I think you'll find it's a lot harder to remove water vapor from a vacuum than just using desiccant, as the vacuum will just pull the water out of the desiccant.
